Events Director

It’s about contributing to the ecosystem, collaborating with sponsors and bringing ambitious people together.
Hours per week: +/- 20 hours (can be more or less depending on the time of the year)
Required experience: Experience in a team environment in the past
Favorable qualifications: Any experience with event management or entrepreneurship related work
Length of Board year: 1 academic year (August 1st , 2024 June 31st, 2025)

Key Responsibilities:
- Work on the organization of ECE Students’ events and workshops.
- Be responsible for various aspects of our events (e.g. communication with participants or vendors, handling logistics, entertainment, etc.)
- Find sponsors and potential partners, while maintaining contacts with the existing partners.
- Ensure coordination between committees, and provide help to your board colleagues
- Keep an organised database including a brief for the other committees for every event
- Recruit a team that will add value and skills to your committee
- Create a yearly events schedule inspired by the past but improved with new resources
- Network around the campus, especially with other entrepreneurial organizations
Qualifications:
- Have an affinity with entrepreneurship and events
- Think outside the box to find creative solutions
- Proficiently manage your time and abide by deadlines
- Have no problem with multitasking and working on multiple projects at a time
- Plan and organize events while taking into consideration the financial and time constraints
- Motivated and dedicated to organizing the events as well as possible with the team
- Don’t get distracted easily and stay strong in front of hard situations
