Programme Director

As the Programme Director at ECE Students, your responsibilities will encompass organising and delivering our flagship programme, the Student Founders Programme, as well as developing and coordinating other multi-day or week-long events aimed at enriching our community. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in securing sponsorships to support our programmes, evaluating their effectiveness, and managing resources to ensure their success. Collaboration with the Marketing Committee and leadership of a Programs Committee will be integral to achieving your objectives.

Hours per week: +/- 15 (can be more or less depending on the time of the year)

Favourable qualifications:

  • Previous programme management experience

Length of Board year: 1 academic year (August 1st, 2024 – June 31st, 2025)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organise and successfully execute ECE Students’ flagship programme, the Student Founders Programme, ensuring seamless coordination of all logistical and operational aspects, including programme development, speaker acquisition and location booking.
  • Develop and organise other entrepreneurial or educational programmes (events that last multiple days or weeks) for our community. This includes ideation, planning, and execution phases to deliver impactful and enriching experiences for our participants.
  • Lead the acquisition of sponsorships for our programmes including the Student Founders Programme by cultivating relationships with potential sponsors, drafting sponsorship proposals, and negotiating sponsorship agreements.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of programmes through the collection and analysis of feedback, metrics, and participant testimonials, implementing improvements as necessary.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to ensure the successful delivery of all programmes within established parameters.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Committee to develop promotional materials, marketing campaigns, and outreach strategies to raise awareness and attract participants to programmes
  • Lead a Programs Committee comprising 4-5 members, whom you will recruit, to collaborate with you in executing your responsibilities effectively.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in programme management, event planning, or related fields is preferred.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with sponsors, partners, and community members.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, capable of navigating challenges and finding innovative solutions.
  • Creativity and innovation in program design and execution, with a commitment to delivering high-quality, engaging, and impactful experiences for participants.
  • Passion for entrepreneurship, education, and community building, with a desire to make a meaningful contribution to the growth and development of ECE Students’ community.
